1. Install helical spring (1), pawl detent (2), and forward assist pawl (3) into plunger assembly (4).

2. Align holes and install spring pin (5) using 1/16 inch drive pin punch and hand hammer. Spring pin must be flush or slightly below flush after reassembly.

3. Assemble rifle, refer to page 3-77.
