In 1908, Cart Walther founded his famous line of pistols with the .25 cal. Model 1. This little vest-pocket gun, although well made, shows none of the ingenious design features found in later Walther pistols. The safety catch is a cross button, awkward to operate, and the takedown system leaves much to be desired. Apparently it was difficult to sell or manufacture, for in 1909 it was super-seded by the more compact Model 2.
Also the magazine catch notch is deeper and much higher up on the back strap than usual.—E. J. H0FFSCHMIDT

Deer hunting is an interesting thing that reminds you of those golden old ages of 19th centuries, where a handsome hunk well equipped with all hunting material rides on horse searching for his target animal either for the purpose of displaying his masculine powers or for enticing and wooing his lady love.
