\'M After the bolt moves forward and locks, the shoulder on the operating rod engages the hook of the connector assembly and forces it forward. This rotates the sear release on the selector shaft, causing the flange on the sear release to push the sear to (lie rear, disengaging it from the rear hammer hooks (2, fig 38). The hammer will then go forward if the trigger is held to the rear. If the trigger is released at any time prior to the firing of the last round, the hammer will be held in the cocked position by the trigger lugs.
