Caution

Do not immerse chain in solvent. Solvent will remain in rollers and contaminant grease.

CLEAN TRACK ASSEMBLY PARTS.

a. Using brush and dry cleaning solvent, clean safety actuator (1), pawl spring (2), safety pawl (3), firing pin pawl (4), pin (5), helical spring (6), track (7), drive sprocket wheel (8), chain (9), drive sprocket retainer (10), clevis assembly (11), safety handle (12), headed straight pin (13), helical spring (14), four spring tension washers (15), three idler sprocket shaft assemblies (16), and three idler sprocket wheels (17).

b. Dry parts with a clean wiping rag.

INSPECTION

VISUALLY INSPECT TRACK ASSEMBLY PARTS.

a. Visually inspect firing pin pawl (1), safety pawl (2), pawl spring (3), pin (4), helical spring (5), headed straight pin (6), helical spring (7), safety actuator (8), safety handle (9), four spring tension washers (10), and clevis assembly (11) for cracks, chips, breaks, and other damage. If any of these conditions are found, replace defective part. If either the safety actuator (8) or safety handle (9) must be replaced,
