Caution

Do not drop lockwire pieces into gun. Wire can get between moving parts and damage gun.

5. REMOVE LOCKWIRE FROM REAR LOWER CAPSCREWS. Remove lockwire from rear lower capscrews (8) and (9).

6. REMOVE REAR LOWER CAPSCREW.

Remove only the rear lower capscrew (8) from feeder drive assembly (7).

7. REMOVE EJECTION CHUTE.

Pull ejection chute (4) away from feeder drive assembly (7). 7 9.4

INSPECTION

INSPECT EJECTION CHUTE.

Visually inspect ejection chute for chips, cracks, bends, and stripped threads. If any of these conditions are found, replace ejection chute.

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL EJECTION CHUTE.

Position ejection chute (1) on feeder drive assembly (2). Align ejection chute and feeder drive assembly mounting holes.

2. INSTALL REAR LOWER CAPSCREW. Loosely install rear lower capscrew (3).

3. POSITION FEEDER DRIVE ASSEMBLY.

Position feeder drive assembly (2) with feeder handle (4) down and ejection chute (1) on bottom as shown.

INSTALLATION - Continued

4. INSTALL REAR UPPER CAPSCREW AND FORWARD CAPSCREWS.

a. Loosely install rear upper capscrew (5) and forward capscrew (6).

b. Install and tighten forward capscrew (7).

5. TORQUE FORWARD CAPSCREW AND TWO REAR CAPSCREWS.

Tighten and torque two rear capscrews (3) and (5) and forward capscrew (6) to 67 in.-lb ± 8 in.-lb (7.57 N-m ± 0.90 N-m).
