Do not apply grease on round positioner assembly parts except as shown. Dust and dirt sticking to greased parts can be carried into auto gun receiver and cause gun to jam.
1. LUBRICATE HEADED STRAIGHT PIN.
Using acid brush, apply light coat of grease to shank of headed straight pin.
2. LUBRICATE FLAT SPRING.
Using acid brush, apply light coat of grease to flat spring in areas indicated below.
1. INSTALL ROUND POSITIONER ASSEMBLY.
a. Slide upper left stepped spacer (1) into round positioner assembly (2) as shown.
b. Install capscrew (3), two flat washers (4), and new self-locking nut (5).
c. Torque capscrew (3) to 67 in.-lb ± 8 in.-lb (7.57 N-m ± 0.90 N-m).
INSTALLATION - Continued d. Spread round positioner assembly (2) and install around upper feed and lower feed sprocket assembly shafts (6).
2. INSTALL CAPSCREW.
Install and torque capscrew (7) to 160 in.-lb + 10 in.-lb (18.08 N-m + 1.13 N-m).
3. POSITION FEEDER DRIVE ASSEMBLY.
Position feeder drive assembly (8) with lower feed sprocket assembly (9) on top.
4. INSTALL SLEEVE BUSHING AND UPPER HEADED STRAIGHT PIN.
