Note

Two configurations of round positioner assemblies exist. Do not interchange sleeve bushings, headed straight pins, or flat springs between the two configurations. Refer to Table 1.

DISASSEMBLY

REMOVE ROUND POSITIONER.

a. Remove cotter pin (1) from headed straight pin (2).

b. Pull headed straight pin (2) and sleeve bushing (3) out to remove round positioners (4) from flat spring (5).

c. Remove cotter pin (6) from headed straight pin (7) and remove headed straight pin (7) and bushing (8) from two positioners (9).

INSPECTION

INSPECT ROUND POSITIONER ASSEMBLY PARTS.

a. Visually inspect round positioner (1) for cracks, chips, and breaks. If any of these conditions are found, replace round positioner.

b. Visually inspect flat spring (2) for cracks, distortion, and corrosion. If any of these conditions are found, replace flat spring.

c. Visually inspect three sleeve bushings (3) and three headed straight pins (4) for galled condition and corrosion. If either of these conditions are found, replace defective part.

LUBRICATION

LUBRICATE HEADED STRAIGHT PIN AND SLEEVE BUSHING.
