Idler sprocket wheels are allowed to have one missing tooth per sprocket.
d. Visually inspect track (12), chain (13), three idler sprocket wheels (14), drive sprocket wheel (15), drive sprocket retainer (16), and three idler sprocket shaft assemblies (17) for cracks, breaks, bends, and galls. Inspect three idler sprocket shaft assemblies for damaged or missing spring pins. If any of these conditions are found, replace defective part.
e. Visually inspect drive sprocket wheel (15) for damaged splines. If damage is found, replace drive sprocket wheel.
Using acid brush, apply a light coat of grease to safety actuator (1), pawl spring (2), safety pawl (3), firing pin pawl (4), pin (5), helical spring (6), track (7), drive sprocket wheel (8), chain (9), drive sprocket retainer (10), clevis assembly (11), safety handle (12), headed straight pin (13), helical spring (14), four spring tension washers (15), three idler sprocket shaft assemblies (16), and three idler sprocket wheels (17). Wipe off excess grease.
1. INSTALL CLEVIS ASSEMBLY.
a. Place four spring tension washers (1) in position in track (2) and install clevis assembly (3) through track and spring tension washers.
b. Position track (2) so that clevis assembly (3) is facing away.
c. Install clevis nut (4). Tighten clevis nut (4) until all play is eliminated. If play cannot be eliminated, replace all four spring tension washers.
d. Turn clevis nut (4) to align nearest nut slot with pin holes in track (2).
e. Tap new spring pin (5) through track holes and nut slot until it is equally spaced on both sides of
