If weapon has been determined to be contaminated (radioactive), all warnings at the beginning of WP 0022 00 shall be in effect.
Auto gun receiver is too heavy for one person to lift. Get help to lift or carry automatic gun receiver.
Do not wear jewelry when working on the gun. Serious injury or death may occur.
Keep your fingers away from moving parts of gun. Serious injury or death may occur.
REMOVE SEAR ASSEMBLY.
a. Pull sear sleeve-pivot (1) from auto gun receiver (2).
b. Lift sear assembly (3) out of auto gun receiver (2).
a. Visually inspect sear assembly (1) for cracks and loose or broken spring tension washers (2). If any of these conditions are found, replace sear assembly.
b. Using feeler gage, inspect spring tension washers (2) to assure they do not freely slide more than 0.04 in. (1 mm). Spring tension washers may rotate, but maximum gap between any two spring tension washers is 0.04 in. (1 mm). Use feeler gage. If measurement is not met, replace spring tension washers.
c. Visually inspect spring pin (3) for breaks or bends. If either of these conditions are found, replace spring pin.
LUBRICATE SEAR ASSEMBLY.
Using acid brush, apply a light coat of grease to pivot hole (1) and notched blade (2) of sear assembly
1. INSTALL SEAR ASSEMBLY.
a. Place sear assembly (1) in auto gun receiver (2) with pivot hole (3) down.
INSTALLATION - Continued b. While holding sear assembly (1) in position, install sear sleeve-pivot (4). Press in narrow end of sear sleeve-pivot (4) until seated.
2. INSTALL COVER ASSEMBLY AND SEAR RETRACTOR ASSEMBLY (WP 0063 00).
3. INSTALL STRAIGHT DRIVE SHAFT (WP 0060 00).
4. INSTALL BOLT AND TRACK ASSEMBLY (WP 0053 00).
5. PERFORM AUTO GUN RECEIVER MANUAL CYCLE CHECK (WP 0008 00).
6. INSTALL AUTOMATIC GUN FEEDER (WP 0026 00). END OF WORK PACKAGE
