Note

The plug (5) is designed with three gas inlet setting to maintain the rate of fire. This design is intended to maintain a constant rate of fire under adverse conditions and NOT TO INCREASE RATE OF FIRE. Gas inlet setting number 1 (6) (number facing the barrel) is preferred for normal conditions.

Setting 1 = 650 rds/m approx. (600 rds/m (M240B/M240N with hydraulic buffer only)) Setting 2 = 750 rds/m approx. (625 rds/m (M240B/M240N with hydraulic buffer only)) Setting 3 = 950 rds/m approx. (650 rds/m (M240B/M240N with hydraulic buffer only))
