nearby, your men actually rush his position. If he's farther away and it would take so long to assault him that he could hit many men, you instead rush to cover. Once they start running, your men will stop for nothing—pausing to help a fallen comrade, while admirable, will only allow the sniper to hit yet another man.

Critical to success in this maneuver is acting simultaneously. A piecemeal dash of only a squad at a time will only give the sniper better shooting opportunities. Launch the rush with an unmistakable loud signal, such as the commander detonating a hand grenade.

All the techniques we've considered can be used separately or in a variety of combinations. Mix them together—be flexible enough to adapt.

But it's important that you realize, as well, that any and all of these techniques could be used against you. Think through how you would react, how you would minimize their effect, how you would "shoot today and run away, so you can shoot another day."
