SureFire Customer Kristopher A. -Pilot
While flying at night from Little Rock, Arkansas, to Norman, Oklahoma, all the lights in my aircraft, including my landing lights, went out about an hour from Norman. I used my SureFire C2, with a red filter so as not to degrade my night-adapted vision, to read my airspeed indicator, directional gyro, tachometer, and altitude indicator. The air traffic controller informed me that, while they had me on radar, they were unable to establish visual contact. So as 1 lined up for my approach, I removed the red filter and began flashing my C2 at the tower until they saw me. I was able to use the C2 as my landing light, which was a great help on a moonless night! How I never leave for a flight without making sure I have my SureFire with me.
