Never prime your in-line muzzleloader until you are ready to fire it. Your muz-zleloading rifle should remain unprimed until the instant before firing. After you prime your T/C in-line muzzleloader, your full concentration should be on the target and the act of firing. FAILURE TO FOLLOW THIS RULE CAN RESULT IN ACCIDENTAL DISCHARGE WHICH CAN CAUSE INJURY AND/OR DEATH TO THE SHOOTER OR BYSTANDERS AND DAMAGE TO PROPERTY.
Photo #1 Striker handle in the "cocked" position with the thumb safety engaged (fully rearward). The thumb safety will now be lined up with the green dot on the stock.
Photo #2 Striker handle in the "Cocked" position with the thumb safety in the "Fire" position. The thumb safety will now be in line with the red dot in the stock. A pull on the trigger will now release the striker and cause it to strike the cap on the nipple.
